Q: Where do you deliver to?
A: Embrum, Wakefield, Merrickville, Clarence Creek, Carleton Place, and everywhere in between. Call or email with your address, and chances are we deliver there!
Q: Should I rinse the diapers before putting them in the pail?
A: If your baby is not eating solid foods, there is no rinsing required! Otherwise, knock solids into the toilet and put the diaper into the pail, or use a flushable Bummis Bio liner to make disposal easier. You can also use Bummis fleece liners.
Q: What is the difference between organic and regular cloth diaper service?
A: Organic service - Diapers are washed with unscented detergent from The Laundry Tarts, rinsed three times and hung to dry to remove stains. Then they are fluffed in the dryer with wool dryer balls. No commercial detergents or bleach are used.
Regular service: Washed and rinsed to diaper industry standards with laundry detergent. Commercial bleach is used to remove stains from diapers. Dried in the dryer with Nellie’s dryer balls.
Q: My baby has a diaper rash, what can I use?
A: Chiquita Baby sells many diaper friendly creams: Grovia Magic stick, Grandma el’s, Earth Mama Angel baby, and All things Jill. All are great diaper creams, however diaper cream is still a barrier so please use a liner when using cream. Often diaper cream will cause buildup on the diaper, affecting absorbency.
Q: Why should we go with a cloth diaper service?
A: It is easy, same or cheaper than buying 1 pack of disposable diapers a week. It is better for baby as there are no unsafe chemical gels against your babies delicate skin. Babies in cloth diapers potty train faster, and rarely have a diaper rash. You will never run out of diapers. Most babies go through 10-14 diapers a day when they are a newborn. Chiquita baby supplies 100 prefolds per week, more than enough to have on hand.
